Oman's Duqm fishing harbor expected to complete by 2016


(MENAFN) The Omani Ministry of Agriculture and Fisheries said that a fishing harbour in Duqm, the largest in the country, is expected to launch in 2016, Times of Oman reported



The Undersecretary of Fisheries Wealth said: "The cost of the project will be more than OMR35 million and the construction is expected to start this year.



The port will not only accommodates Omani fleets, but also fleets from other countries passing through the Indian Ocean



A large area at the back of Duqm fishing port will prepped for Fisheries Industrial Estate, as over 60 processing plants and related facilities would be established
