Uzbekistan to hold population census every 10 years

Uzbekistan will hold population census every 10 years.

This was announced by the deputy chairman of the State Statistics Committee for social statistics, Mahmudjon Ziyadullayev in an international press club in Tashkent.

Presenting the latest data on the population of the country, he noted the population of Uzbekistan is 32.5 million people for September 2017. Of them, more than 523,000 are newborn children.

The number of marriages was more than 192,000, divorces - more than 23,000.

The number of citizens who arrived in Uzbekistan for permanent residence has totaled 120,000, while 136,000 citizens of Uzbekistan have relocated or left for far abroad.
