LONDON-Omnicom-owned Golin was named Agency of the Year for the EMEA region at last night's SABRE Awards ceremony, which took place at the Brewery in London and recognized more than 20 firms from across the region with honors for their strong performance, great work, thought leadership and innovation, and outstanding work environments.
Golin took home top honors after being named one of the UK Agencies of the Year. According to PRovoke Media founder and editor Paul Holmes,“Golin outperformed its holding company peers in terms of revenue growth, it won major creative honors for its work in the UK, Sweden, and Romania, and it has consistently ranked among the best workplaces in the region. Having won Agency of the Year honors in North America and Globally, it can now add EMEA to its trophy case.”
Golin EMEA-of which the UK remains by far the largest part-was up by 18%, thanks to a combination of stellar client retention and a surge of new business-the fourth consecutive year of double-digit growth in the region, with new business from a number of big name companies.
Golin's creative work was nominated 14 times for the EMEA SABRE Awards this year, and won four trophies, for campaigns ranging from“The Tiniest Room” for Save the Children in Romania to“The Banquet Menu” for MAX Burgers in Sweden to“Desk Break” for ASICS in the UK.

Pretty Green, a breakout year for the B Corp, combining commercial growth and cultural impact;
The PHA Group, celebrating its 20th anniversary with a strong new leadership team and good growth;
The Romans, another standout creative year with awards success and impressive 40% growth on the year;
Third City, an employee owned agency that has grown by 60% in two years by combining corporate and consumer expertise;
Tin Man, the“Comms with Heart” agency delivered good growth in difficult conditions as well as its usual impressive creative;
Words + Pixels, just five years old, the firm is doing culture and creativity right, and growing accordingly.
In addition, The Remarkables was named as our New Agency of the Year. Founded two years ago by formidable former in-house comms leader Kerry Parkin, the firm delivers senior level counsel to organisations including Amazon Devices and Odeon Cinema Group.
