Erdogan Says Türkiye Will Stand Against ‘Genocide Networks’

(MENAFN) President Recep Tayyip Erdogan has stated that Türkiye will continue to defend what he described as the “common values of humanity” against what he called “genocide networks” responsible for civilian casualties in Gaza and Lebanon, according to reports.

He made the remarks during the EFES-2026 Combined, Joint, and Live-Fire Field Exercise held in Izmir, where he addressed Türkiye’s broader strategic and regional role.

Erdogan emphasized that despite what he described as pessimistic outlooks regarding global developments, Ankara aims to position itself as an active and influential actor in efforts to promote regional stability and peace.

He also reiterated that Türkiye intends to maintain a stance in favor of peace and stability, contrasting this with what he characterized as forces that contribute to war and instability.

The comments were made in the context of Türkiye’s ongoing emphasis on security policy, defense readiness, and its diplomatic positioning within regional conflicts and humanitarian crises.
