Two School Children Killed In Alleged Drone Strike In Bajaur's Mamund Area


(MENAFN- Tribal News Network) BAJAUR: Two school-going children were killed in an alleged drone strike in the Shahi Tangai area of Mamund tehsil in Bajaur district on Wednesday, triggering fear and panic in the locality.

The victims were identified as 10-year-old Hassan, son of Israr, and Maloom, son of Mumtaz.

According to local sources, the children were returning home from school when an alleged drone bomb struck them, killing both on the spot. The incident caused widespread panic among residents.

DSP Niaz confirmed the incident and said that the bodies were shifted to District Headquarters Hospital (DHQ) Khar.

Locals said that a mosque in the same area was also reportedly targeted by a drone-like object a day earlier, though no casualties were reported in that incident.

The latest incident has heightened concerns among residents, who expressed alarm over repeated aerial strikes in the area.
