Jordan's AI Education Platform Highlighted At Global Forum In London

Amman, May 21 (Petra) -- Jordan's efforts to integrate artificial intelligence into the education sector gained international attention this week after OpenAI showcased the kingdom's "Siraj" smart educational assistant during the World Education Forum held in London.

According to a statement issued Thursday, the "Siraj" project was presented as one of the prominent international experiences utilizing artificial intelligence to support learning systems and expand access to advanced digital education tools.

The project is one of the initiatives developed under the National Council for Future Technology and focuses on employing artificial intelligence technologies to improve educational outcomes in schools across the kingdom.

The inclusion of "Siraj" among international models showcased at the forum reflects the progress Jordan has made in developing AI-driven educational initiatives within a broader national vision aimed at strengthening future skills and preparing the education sector for accelerating technological transformation.

According to the statement, work is underway to expand and further develop the project into a fully integrated platform within the Ministry of Education's learning management systems to support students and teachers and improve access to advanced digital learning solutions.

The World Education Forum, held annually in London, is considered the world's largest international gathering dedicated to education and skills development, bringing together education ministers, policymakers and global institutions to discuss the future of education, innovation, digital transformation and artificial intelligence applications in learning systems.

The statement added that more than one million students and over 100,000 teachers in Jordan have interacted with the "Siraj" platform since its launch last year.
