Woman, Three Children Were Found Dead After Fall from Building in France

(MENAFN) A woman and her three children have died after falling from the 13th floor of a residential building in Toulon in southeastern France, according to reports.

The public prosecutor said the woman is believed to have jumped from the building while accompanied by her children.

The 38-year-old mother had reportedly shown “psychiatric and depressive symptoms, which remain to be confirmed,” according to the prosecutor.

Authorities said her four other children were at home when emergency responders arrived at the scene.

“At this stage, there is no evidence suggesting the involvement of a third party,” the prosecutor stated, according to reports.

An investigation has been opened into suspected murders committed by a parent against their children under the jurisdiction of the Toulon prosecutor’s office.
