Vasuki Cement Has Been Making Cement In Gujarat Since The Day It Was Founded
There is a version of this story where a new cement company announces its plans, breaks ground on a plant, and returns two years later with a ribbon-cutting. That is not what happened with Vasuki Cement. When the company was incorporated in January 2026, its Morbi facility was already producing. The laboratory was already testing. Trucks were already leaving the gate.
The site - Survey No. 133, Village Varshamedi, Taluka Maliya, Morbi, Gujarat 363670 - covers 17,000 square metres and was designed around four cement grades before a single batch was made. OPC, PPC, PSC, and GGBS each have their own blending line, their own silo allocation, and their own quality protocol. All four carry BIS certification. None is an afterthought.
Morbi was selected for reasons that have nothing to do with announcement value. The Vasuki Group, which backs the company, has been sourcing fly ash, slag, clinker, and gypsum across Gujarat for more than twenty years. Those supply chains were live and tested before the plant opened. Road and rail routes into Rajasthan and Madhya Pradesh were already known quantities. The construction market around Morbi, Rajkot, and Surendranagar provided a ready base of buyers from the first week. None of this was set up in a hurry.
The workforce comes largely from the Morbi district and the surrounding talukas. Quality control is handled in-house. And the company is not managing a backlog of ambitions - it is running a plant that already works.
Products
Ordinary Portland Cement (OPC) - For structural frames, columns, and precast work. Delivers high early strength - the grade of choice when the construction programme cannot afford to wait on the mix.
Portland Pozzolana Cement (PPC) - Fly ash blended to cut the heat of hydration and reduce early shrinkage cracking. Builds strength gradually and performs well in Gujarat's hot, humid conditions - the standard choice for slabs and walls.
Portland Slag Cement (PSC) - Dense, slag-rich matrix that restricts chloride and sulphate movement through concrete. The grade for coastal zones, port structures, and ground conditions where chemical aggression is a design consideration.
Ground Granulated Blast Furnace Slag (GGBS) - A partial replacement for cement in mass pours, deep foundations, and large infrastructure works. Used where controlling heat build-up during extended curing is more critical than hitting early strength targets.
