I am a paleoanthropologist interested in modern human origins in the Middle and Upper Pleistocene of Southern Africa. I hold an MA and Ph.D. in Anthropology from the University of Michigan and a BA in Anthropology and English from The Ohio State University. I am currently Assistant Professor of Anthropology at California State University, Stanislaus and hold an honorary research appointment with the Rock Art Research Institute at the University of the Witwatersrand.
