(MENAFN- Jordan News Agency)
Amman, April 1 (Petra) -- The Jordan Agricultural Engineers Association (JAEA) signed two cooperation agreements with the Agricultural Entrepreneurship and Agri-Innovation Association and the Advance Irrigation Agriculture Cooperative to enhance innovation in the agricultural sector, improve water-use efficiency, and support agribusiness entrepreneurship.
According to a JAEA statement issued Wednesday, the agreement with the Advance Irrigation Agriculture Cooperative focuses on implementing specialized training programs in the design, operation, and management of modern irrigation networks. It also includes deploying smart sensor technologies and advanced fertigation systems, in addition to providing technical advisory services and organizing field visits to strengthen the capacity of agricultural engineers and technicians.
The JAEA said the agreement with the Agricultural Entrepreneurship and Agri-Innovation Association aims to incubate and scale agricultural startups across various stages, particularly those led by association members. The initiative will provide an integrated ecosystem encompassing technical support, infrastructure, and access to expertise to accelerate innovation, enhance project sustainability, and facilitate linkages with local and international investors.
The JAEA added that these partnerships form part of broader efforts to build human capital in the agricultural sector, foster technology adoption, and expand opportunities for sustainable enterprise development, particularly in areas related to water resource management in the Kingdom.
