Kuwait FM Meets Bahraini Senior Officials, Co-Chairs Joint Higher Cmte.

(MENAFN- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) MANAMA, Jan 22 (KUNA) -- Bahrain's Deputy Prime Minister Sheikh Khalid bin Abdullah Al-Khalifa received Kuwait's Minister of Foreign Affairs Abdullah Al-Yahya during his official visit to the Kingdom, where he is leading Kuwait's delegation to the 12th session of the Kuwait-Bahrain Joint Higher Committee, held on Thursday in Manama.
Al-Yahya met Bahrain's Interior Minister Sheikh Rashid bin Abdullah Al-Khalifa.
Additionally, Al-Yahya met Bahrain's Foreign Minister Dr. Abdullatif Al-Zayani who headed the Bahraini delegation.
Minister Al-Yahya conveyed greetings of His Highness the Amir Sheikh Meshal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah to King Hamad bin Isa Al-Khalifa, along with best wishes for Bahrain's continued progress and prosperity during his reception by the Deputy Premier.
The meeting focused on strong bilateral ties, ways to expand cooperation, issues of mutual interest, and coordination on regional and international developments, while exploring frameworks to support regional security and stability and strengthen joint Gulf cooperation.
The Joint Higher Committee also reviewed all vital areas of cooperation between the two countries, particularly economic, investment, security, and development sectors. (end)
