White House Chief of Staff says Trump appears in Epstein files
(MENAFN) A senior figure in the US administration has stated that President Donald Trump is named in documents connected to Jeffrey Epstein, directly contradicting Trump’s repeated assertions that the material is fabricated.
According to reports, White House Chief of Staff Susie Wiles confirmed Trump’s presence in the files, saying, “We know he’s in the file.” She went on to claim that Trump “was on (Epstein’s) plane, … he’s on the manifest,” and characterized their past relationship by describing them as “sort of young, single playboys together.”
Wiles also took aim at the handling of the documents by Attorney General Pam Bondi, dismissing speculation about hidden evidence and remarking, “There is no client list, and it sure as hell wasn’t on her desk.”
Her comments quickly drew a reaction from Democratic Party officials. In a statement, a party spokesperson argued that “even Donald Trump’s chief of staff can’t shield him from his Epstein nightmare,” accusing Trump of deceiving the public and avoiding accountability as calls grow louder for the full release of the records.
In the same interview, Wiles offered a broader critique of Trump’s conduct and leadership style, claiming he has used the presidency for “score settling” and describing him as having an “alcoholic’s personality.” She also delivered blunt assessments of several of his close associates, labeling Vice President JD Vance a “conspiracy theorist,” calling Office of Management and Budget Director Russell Vought a “right-wing absolute zealot,” and referring to technology billionaire Elon Musk as an “avowed ketamine” user.
She further noted that Trump’s trade policies had exceeded her expectations in terms of negative impact, saying the tariffs were “more painful than I expected.”
