Celebrating Eid Al Etihad: Free Fun Activities In Dubai
Dubai will come alive with vibrant celebrations for the 54th Eid Al Etihad, marking the UAE's union. From December 1 to 3, 2025, the city will host an array of programmes, featuring traditional dance performances, craft markets, culinary showcases, family activities, and community parades celebrating culture and heritage.
Originally, UAE residents anticipated a midweek break on December 2 and 3 for National Day (Eid Al Etihad). But this year, a new rule extends the short break into a long weekend, giving everyone extra time to celebrate.

To make the most of the festivities, here's a list of fun and free activities to enjoy with family and friends:
Eid Al Etihad paradeResidents and visitors will be able to witness the striking sight of magnificent horses striding through City Walk once again as the Eid Al Etihad parad, held annually in collaboration with Dubai Police, is set to return.
Taking place on December 1 at 4pm, the iconic march will feature over 1,000 participants from Dubai Police, KHDA students, and other government entities.
Catch the fireworksDubai's skyline will come alive with spectacular fireworks on December 2 in the following places announced by the Dubai government.
- Watch the Burj Khalifa light up in dazzling colours as fireworks surround the tower.
Dubai Festival City Mall and Hatta will start their displays at 8 pm, followed by Souk Al Seef, Bluewaters, and The Beach JBR at 9 pm. Global Village will keep the celebrations going all weekend with fireworks and synchronised drone shows at 9 pm from December 1 to 3.
Music fans can enjoy performances at City Walk. Diana Haddad, one of the GCC's top singers, will take the stage at 8 pm on December 1, followed by acclaimed Emirati talent Shamma Hamdan at 8 pm on December 2.
Hands-on fun at the mallsCity Centre Mirdif will host a week-long celebration from November 28 to December 3, and visitors can enjoy hands-on activities such as tote bag customisation, live pottery demonstrations, and daily cultural performances, alongside creative workshops like Hand-Building Pottery and Threads of Tradition.
Ibn Battuta Mall will showcase UAE culture through art, poetry, and music from December 1 to 3, under the theme of“Expressions with Art” – featuring interactive digital zones, live performances, and family workshops for all ages.
Learn about UAE cultural historyFrom December 1 to 3, the Etihad Museum shared on instagram that it will celebrate with the building lit up in the colours of the UAE flag and a programme that brings the story of the Union to life. Visitors can enjoy interactive installations reflecting Emirati values, a VR station showcasing national accomplishments, hands-on planting and clay workshops, and heritage performances featuring Al Harbiya, Al Ayala, and oud music.
