2,000 Youth Graduate From Training Courses In Panjsher
PARAKH (Pajhwok): As many as 2,000 young people have graduated from three-month training courses concerning university entrance (Kankor), English language, computer skills and technology in central Panjsher province, an official said on Tuesday.
Governor's spokesman Saifuddin Laton said that over 1,000 youths were trained in Parakh, the provincial capital and another 1,000 in the districts under the auspices of the Information and Culture Department.
During a graduation ceremony, Governor Hafez Mohammad Agha Hakim said:“We are witnessing the capacity-building of our youth. Acquiring knowledge, especially modern computer and technology skills, is a basic necessity for society.”
He emphasised that the English language encompassed almost all contemporary sciences and provided access to a wider range of resources. He advised the youth to learn English and gain full access to modern technologies.
The governor added:“We assure the resumption of university entrance preparation courses across seven districts and the provincial centre. This programme has been launched to develop educational skills and increase opportunities for young people.”
Bismillah, a graduate of the English course from the provincial capital, thanked the government for providing training opportunities and said he would continue learning English, as it is an international language and he hoped to serve his people and country through this knowledge.
