Russia Launches Over 650 Drones, 50 Missiles In Overnight Attack On Ukraine Zelensky

(MENAFN- UkrinForm) The Ukrainian President reported this on Telegram, according to Ukrinform.

“In many of our regions, emergency and rescue operations are still underway after last night's Russian attack. It was a complex, combined strike: the enemy used more than 650 drones and over fifty missiles of various types, including ballistic and aeroballistic ones. Many were shot down, but unfortunately, there have been hits,” Zelensky noted.

According to him, residential buildings in Zaporizhzhia were damaged, and a dormitory was destroyed.

“Dozens of people have been reported injured in this strike, including five children. Tragically, two people have been killed. My condolences to their family and loved ones. Rescue operations continue. In Ladyzhyn, a seven-year-old boy has been seriously wounded. There have also been many vile strikes on energy facilities and civilian life across the regions – Vinnytsia, Kyiv, Mykolaiv, Cherkasy, Poltava, Dnipro, Chernihiv, Sumy, Ivano-Frankivsk, and Lviv regions. All the necessary services are deployed on the sites. All efforts should be made to restore power and water supply as swiftly as possible wherever it's been disrupted,” the President said.

Zelensky emphasized that Russia continues its terrorist war against life itself, and that every such vile attack on civilians must bring concrete consequences for Moscow - through sanctions and real pressure.

“We count on America, Europe, and the G7 countries not to ignore this Moscow's intent to destroy everything. New steps are needed to increase pressure – on Russia's oil and gas industry, its financial system, and through secondary sanctions on those who bankroll this war,” the President of Ukraine stated.

As reported, during the night of October 30, Russia launched a massive attack on Ukraine's energy system, targeting thermal power plants in several regions.
