Witkoff Does Not Rule Out Possibility Of Accepting Invitation To Visit Ukraine Kyslytsya


(MENAFN- UkrinForm) Ukraine's First Deputy Foreign Minister Sergiy Kyslytsya stated this in an interview with Ukrinform.

“He (Witkoff – ed.) did not reject the possibility of accepting the invitation to visit Ukraine,” the diplomat said.

Kyslytsya explained that during talks, the Ukrainian side“sits across from” Witkoff, as the American negotiator with the Kremlin, to deliver its messages and hopes to hear from him about the current stage and effectiveness of his talks with Russian representatives.

He added that security-related negotiations with the United States are being conducted at various political levels, including with military chiefs of staff.

As previously reported by Ukrinform, in Paris on September 4, a meeting of the Coalition of the Willing was held at the Élysée Palace, chaired by French President Emmanuel Macron and UK Prime Minister Keir Starmer. The meeting was attended by President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky and White House Special Representative Steve Witkoff.

A bilateral meeting between the Ukrainian leader and the U.S. envoy also took place.

On September 5, Ukrainian Foreign Ministry spokesperson Heorhii Tykhyi confirmed that the invitation to Witkoff remains valid.
