Türkiye’s Firm Karmod Dispatches Insulated Water Tanks to Germany
(MENAFN) Karmod, a leading Turkish manufacturer of modular solutions, has exported large-capacity insulated fiberglass water tanks to Germany to support industrial operations, the company announced on Monday.
The shipment, consisting of three customized tanks—each capable of storing 25 tons of water—was delivered to a facility in Balzheim, where they will be integrated into the production line of a company specializing in cooling systems.
According to Talay Ozturk, General Manager of Karmod’s plastics division, the delivery marks a strategic expansion of the firm’s liquid storage solutions into bespoke manufacturing applications.
“With polyester, polyethylene and stainless steel material alternatives, we are able to respond to special requests,” Ozturk said.
He emphasized that the fiberglass tanks are tailored for use in industrial environments, particularly within cooling systems tied to machinery in manufacturing plants.
“Our insulated fiberglass water tank model is used as part of production processes in industrial plants. With insulated piping connections, it provides long-lasting solutions for cooling machine systems used in manufacturing,” he added.
As part of the German project, Karmod engineered the tanks with reinforced specifications: 10 layers of resin, 50 millimeters of foam insulation, and an extra polyester coating to boost thermal retention.
Ozturk concluded by noting that each tank includes eight DN100 flanges and is designed to play a vital role in the facility’s cooling infrastructure.
The tanks were also finished with a UV-resistant gelcoat, ensuring durability under exposure to harsh environmental conditions.
