Modine Sets-Up Manufacturing Facility In Chennai To Serve APAC Data-Centre Market

(MENAFN- KNN India) Chennai, Aug 23 (KNN) Modine, a global leader in thermal-management solutions, has inaugurated a state-of-the-art, 100,000 sq ft manufacturing facility in Chennai, India, to produce Airedale by Modine data-centre cooling equipment for the Asia-Pacific (APAC) region.

Eric McGinnis, President of Climate Solutions at Modine, described the expansion as“a significant milestone in our global growth strategy,” emphasising that the rapidly growing data-centre market in India and across APAC necessitates facilities that offer speed, precision, and locally tailored solutions.

The Chennai plant not only supports Modine's broader global push-which includes recent U.S. production expansions-but also marks the start of full-scale in-region manufacturing for APAC customers.

During the launch ceremony, Modine unveiled the first locally manufactured unit: the AireWall ONE fan wall, built with 70% locally sourced components-a milestone highlighting the company's commitment to strengthening local supply chains.

Additional product lines are expected to come online soon to meet escalating regional demand.

This expansion responds to surging demand driven largely by the rise of AI-powered workloads, which impose intense thermal and energy demands on data-centre infrastructure.

Modine's comprehensive offerings-including high-efficiency chillers, indoor air handling systems, next-generation liquid cooling technologies, intelligent controls, building management systems (BMS), and a global service network-are strategically positioned to meet these challenges.
