Doha, Qatar: As part of its commitment to social responsibility, the Ministry of Environment and Climate Change (MECC), in cooperation with Hamad Medical Corporation's Qatar National Blood Donation Center, organised a blood donation campaign yesterday.

The initiative targeted ministry staff and officials, aiming to support the healthcare sector and promote a culture of voluntary blood donation in the community. The campaign saw strong participation from ministry employees and senior officials, who gathered at the mobile donation unit to contribute to this humanitarian cause.

Commenting on the event, Director of the Public Relations and Communications Department at MECC Farhoud Al-Hajri, stated:“This campaign reflects the Ministry's commitment to instilling a spirit of giving and social responsibility among staff. It supports national efforts to ensure an adequate and safe blood supply for patients in need. Blood donation is a noble humanitarian act that saves lives and strengthens social solidarity within the Qatari community.” The Ministry also urged all potential donors to adhere to the health requirements set by relevant authorities to ensure the safety of donors and the quality of donated blood.
