Top Iraqi militia gets killed from Israeli attack near Iran’s boarder


(MENAFN) A prominent figure within Iraqi Shiite militias has died following an Israeli attack near the Iraq-Iran border, according to a statement from the Islamic Resistance in Iraq, a coalition of Shiite armed groups.
Haider al-Moussawi, who led the security division of the militia Kata'ib Sayyid al-Shuhada, was among those killed. The statement also confirmed the deaths of Abu Ali al-Khalil, an aide to Hezbollah leader Hassan Nasrallah, and his son.

The Israeli strike targeted the border region between Iraq and Iran, though further details about the incident were not disclosed.
