Qatar-Somalia Joint Committee On Labour Convenes

The Qatar-Somalia Joint Committee on Labour convened yesterday under the chairmanship of Minister of Labour H E Dr. Ali bin Smaikh Al Marri together with Minister of Labour and Social Affairs of the Federal Republic of Somalia H E Yusuf Mohamed Adan. The Committee examined recent developments in bilateral cooperation within the labour sector and matters relevant to it, placing particular emphasis on strengthening the regulatory framework for workforce recruitment and on fostering greater utilisation of highly skilled and rigorously trained personnel. Separately, H E Al Marri yesterday held a meeting with Minister of Labour and Social Affairs of Somalia H E Yusuf Mohamed Adan. The meeting discussed measures to strengthen bilateral relations.
