(MENAFN) Stanislav Novotny, a former Czech police chief, has accused the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) of funding a long-standing anti-Russian campaign in the Czech Republic. In an exclusive interview with RT, Novotny, now a lawyer and journalist, alleged that USAID played a key role in influencing Czech-Russian relations by financially supporting political civil society organizations that promoted hostility toward Russia. He also criticized the Czech government for spending taxpayer money on these efforts.

Novotny further pointed to US billionaire George Soros' Open Society Foundations as a significant factor in worsening relations between Prague and Moscow. He called for the removal of such organizations and claimed that they were contributing to rising anti-Russian sentiment.

USAID, which was targeted by former President Donald Trump for its high costs and limited benefits, has faced increased scrutiny for its involvement in international political projects. Novotny labeled the agency as a "monster" that orchestrated wars, fostered mass migration, and undermined national cultures. He also criticized Prague’s growing anti-Russian stance, which intensified after the events in Ukraine, leading to the removal of Soviet-era monuments and the country's strong support for Kiev.
