Saudi Arabia Welcomes Formation Of New Syrian Gov't

RIYADH, March 30 (KUNA) -- Saudi Arabia welcomed the announcement of the formation of the new Syrian government, expressing hope that this government will achieve the aspirations of the Syrian people.
In a statement Sunday, the Saudi Ministry of Foreign Affairs affirmed the Kingdom's aspiration to cooperate and work with the new Syrian government to embody further the fraternal and historical relations between the two countries and strengthen ties in all fields.
The Ministry wished the new Syrian government to succeed and achieve security, stability and prosperity.
Yesterday, Syrian President Ahmad Al-Sharaa announced a transitional government, appointing 23 ministers. (end)
