Maulana Abdul Haq Thani Appointed New JUI-S Chief


(MENAFN- Tribal News Network) Nowshera Maulana Abdul Haq Thani has been elected as the new chief of Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam (S), following a unanimous decision by the party's central executive council. The leadership position had been vacant after the martyrdom of Maulana Hamid
    Haq Haqqani.

    Born on October 16, 1994, in Akora Khattak, Maulana Abdul Haq Thani is the eldest son of Maulana Hamid
      Haq Haqqani, the grandson of Maulana Sami
        Haq, and the great-grandson of Maulana Abdul Haq. Alongside his religious education, he pursued modern academics, excelling in his matriculation and FSc under the Federal Board before earning an MBA in Finance with a CGPA of 3.54.

        He also obtained his Shahadat-e-Almiya degree from Wifaq
          Madaris Al-Arabia with distinction and has been teaching various religious subjects, including Quranic exegesis, jurisprudence, and literature, at Dar
            Uloom Haqqania, Akora Khattak, for the past three years.

            Maulana Abdul Haq Thani has been a close aide to his father and grandfather, assisting in their political and religious affairs. He has represented the party at national and international conferences and is proficient in multiple languages.

            The JUI-S central executive council convened at Dar
              Uloom Haqqania, where representatives from all four provinces endorsed his appointment as the party's new chief.
