New Delhi, Feb 3 (KNN) Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu highlighted India's emerging prominence in artificial intelligence and green energy sectors during a press conference on Monday, preceding the 16th Finance Commission meeting.
Drawing from his observations at the recent World Economic Forum in Davos, Naidu emphasised India's position as a significant catalyst for global economic growth.
The Chief Minister drew a compelling parallel between the information technology revolution of 1995 and the current AI transformation, noting his involvement in both technological watersheds.
"In 1995, it was information technology and in 2025 it is AI. At that time, I was party to it, and even today I am party and in power," Naidu stated, underscoring the technological continuity in India's development narrative.
According to Naidu, who played an instrumental role in India's IT revolution, the discussions at Davos centered predominantly around two key themes: artificial intelligence advancement and green energy initiatives, with particular emphasis on green hydrogen production.
The focus on environmental sustainability through green energy solutions and associated downstream industries reflected growing global concerns about climate change.
The Chief Minister's assessment of India's competitive advantage in the AI sector comes at a time when emerging economies are receiving increased attention at global forums.
The 2025 World Economic Forum notably highlighted India's technological progress and environmental initiatives, garnering significant interest from international leaders and stakeholders.
The convergence of India's technological capabilities and its commitment to sustainable development positions the country as a potential leader in both artificial intelligence and green energy sectors.
This dual focus aligns with global priorities while leveraging India's established strengths in technology and innovation.
