JBA President Hamdi Tabbaa met with Deputy Chairman of the Uzbek Chamber of Commerce and industry Dilshod Rasulov to discuss ways to enhance business networking, activate economic agreements, and strengthen investment ties between the two countries.
Tabbaa highlighted the alignment between Jordan and Uzbekistan in promoting economic and trade cooperation, emphasizing the importance of establishing business councils and signing new agreements to facilitate private-sector partnerships. He pointed to key sectors with strong investment potential, including smart industries, information technology, renewable energy, healthcare, tourism, and education.

JBA and the Arab Businessmen's Association will participate in the upcoming Business and Investors Conference between Arab Countries and Central Asia & Azerbaijan, scheduled to take place in Abu Dhabi later this month.
Tabbaa urged Uzbek businesses to explore Jordan's investment opportunities and take advantage of incentives under the new Investment Environment Law. He emphasized the importance of bilateral meetings and trade exchanges, citing an increase in trade volume between the two countries, which reached approximately $6 million in 2023, up from $2.9 million in 2022.
Rasulov underscored the importance of exchanging expertise and expanding trade between Jordanian and Uzbek business leaders. He highlighted investment opportunities in sectors such as energy, mining, agriculture, textiles, processed food, chemicals, fertilizers, and information technology.
He also invited Jordanian investors to explore Uzbekistan's economic potential, citing the strong political ties between the two nations over the past three decades as a foundation for deeper economic cooperation.
Several JBA members, along with Rasulov and Uzbek Ambassador to Jordan Nodirjon Turgunov, discussed opportunities for collaboration across various industries.
