(MENAFN- Gulf Times) Saleh Hassan al-Kuwari, director of the Natural Reserves Department at the Ministry of Environment and Climate Change (MoECC), revealed that in the coming days, the conditions for benefiting from the 'Motor Home' beach, which was recently opened experimentally in Sealine, will be announced, noting that some days will be designated for families on the beach, while the rest of the days will be for young people.
Saleh al-Kuwari told Arabic daily Arrayah that the department received requests from motorhome owners to establish two motorhome beaches in Al Ghariyah and Umm Bab, similar to the 'Motor Home' beach in the Sealine area, expressing his hope that this will be achieved. He pointed out that requests are received on the hotline 16066, where those wishing to visit the beach are referred to the person authorised to carry out that task, and then the date of arrival at the beach and the date of departure are determined so that the place is prepared for them, noting that the beach is open to the citizens of the Gulf Co-operation Council countries.
He said: "What we seek is for the visitor to the motorhome beach to get all the necessary services and for all needs to be available. We have the winter season which is the camping season and therefore our goal in Doha was to provide a prepared location for motorhome owners, and to make a headquarters for them in the form of a dedicated beach and to be a place for gathering, getting to know each other and exchanging ideas.
"We take the demands of 'Motor Home' owners into consideration and try, in co-operation with municipalities and other government agencies, to fulfill their demands. The beach is located in the Sealine area, which has excellent, beautiful, clean, and soft white sand. We have provided everything on the beach, including umbrellas, tables and chairs along the beach, as well as lighting, a public bathroom, sanitation, prepared and designated sites for grilling and lighting fires, garbage containers, and electricity connections.
At present, there are no fees because the beach is now open for trial, and the beach is available to all 'Motor Home' owners, whether young people or families, and the stay at the beach is for two nights and three days, which means that if the motorhome owner comes to the beach on Thursday, he can stay at the beach on Thursday and Friday, and leave on Saturday. I would like to urge the 'Motor Home' owners, to maintain cleanliness in the place and the safety of the electrical connections between the 'Motor Home' and the electricity connection window (transformer) at the site,” he said.
