Minister Of Endowments Honours Distinguished Employees For 2024

Doha, Qatar: Minister of Endowments and Islamic Affairs HE Ghanem bin Shaheen Al Ghanem honoured on Sunday the distinguished employees in the various departments of the Ministry for 2024, during a ceremony held at the ministry building, in the presence of HE Undersecretary of the Ministry of Endowments and Islamic Affairs Dr. sheikh Khalid bin Mohammed bin Ghanem Al-Thani, Assistant Undersecretaries of the ministry, a number of department directors and heads of sections, and with the participation and presence of the media.

This honour comes in line with achieving the first pillar of Qatar National Vision 2030 in the human development axis, and within the ministry's efforts to support and motivate its human cadres, in appreciation of their role in achieving strategic goals, and establishing a work environment based on distinguished performance and innovation.

In this context, Director of the Human Resources Department at the Ministry Mohammed Hassan Al Maliki said that this moment is not only a tribute to the shared values, but it is also an appreciation of the impressive achievements that can be made when employees work hard and with dedication to achieve the ministry's distinguished success.

Al Maliki urged all the honored employees to continue their hard work and diligence, to be an important tributary of achievement and institutional development, and to maintain this distinction and creativity to be a role model and a source of inspiration for their brethren and fellow employees.

He noted that this ceremony is distinguished by honouring 3 employees with disabilities in various departments for the first time and that the administration pays great attention to developing its cadres, as the Training and Administrative Development Department supervises the implementation of training programmes aimed at developing employees' skills and raising their efficiency, in cooperation with the Institute of Public Administration at the Civil Services and Government Development Bureau, according to an annual training plan aimed at enhancing employees capabilities in various specialisations.

In turn, Head of Training and Administrative Development Department at the Ministry Salwa Abdullah Al Badr Al Mutawa said that this honour comes in appreciation of the efforts of distinguished employees and their prominent role in carrying out their duties, and is part of the ministry's keenness to motivate employees to be creative and provide a work environment that supports excellence and active participation in achieving institutional development.

She indicated that the selection of distinguished employees is based on precise criteria, as the administration takes into account a number of points when nominating departments for their ideal and most efficient employees in carrying out their duties, including annual performance, commitment to regulations and systems, and efficiency in carrying out the tasks assigned to them according to their specializations.

She added that the interest in the employee is achieved through the ministry's appreciation of the employees and motivating them to exert more effort, enhance their capabilities, and develop their skills within the framework of the work assigned to them, as these incentives contribute to motivating the employees to exert their utmost efforts and compete for excellence and honour annually.

The Head of the Training and Administrative Development Department urged all employees to work as one team and improve performance in line with the ministry's vision and strategies.

The number of honoured employees reached 152 from various ministry departments, in appreciation of their distinguished efforts in carrying out their duties efficiently and their commitment to administrative regulations and systems.

The departments that were honoured included the Department of Financial and Administrative Affairs, the General Directorate of Endowments, the Department of Human Resources, the Department of Islamic Affairs, the Department of Engineering Affairs, the Department of Mosques, the Department of Information Systems, the Department of Research and Islamic Studies, the Department of Planning, Quality and Innovation, the Department of Internal Audit, the Department of Zakat Fund, the Department of Hajj and Umrah, the Department of Da'wah and Religious Guidance, the Department of Public Relations and Communication, the Department of Legal Affairs, and the Sheikh Abdullah Bin Zaid Al Mahmoud Islamic Cultural Center.

This honour comes as part of the Ministry of Endowments and Islamic Affairs' commitment to supporting competencies and motivating outstanding performance, which contributes to achieving the aspirations of the ministry and Qatar National Vision 2030, and enhances the work environment based on excellence and innovation.

The ministry will honour distinguished female employees for 2024 in a special honouring ceremony on Monday.
