Moh Highlights Crucial Role In Intensive Care Services


(MENAFN- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) KUWAIT Feb 1 (KUNA) -- Minister of health Dr. Ahmad Al-Awadhi emphasized on Saturday Kuwait's commitment to Promotion of intensive care services given their crucial role in lifesaving.
This came during the opening of the 20th International Arab Society of Critical Care medicine Conference, where he reaffirmed Kuwait's dedication to innovation and scientific progress, praising the conference's return as a testament to this commitment.
Al-Awadhi stressed that innovation in critical care is a responsibility not a choice, urging professionals to turn ideas into actions, as well as investing in human resources as it is essential for sustainable healthcare development.
Al-Awadhi highlighted national achievements in critical care, including advancements in infrastructure, technology, treatment, and digital transformation, underscoring the importance of emergency medical services and air ambulances in enhancing healthcare beyond hospital settings.
He emphasized expanding healthcare facilities, increasing intensive care beds, and equipping hospitals with advanced technology.
For his part, Chairman of the conference and Head of the Anesthesia Department at Al-Amiri Hospital Dr. Abdulrahman Al-Fares emphasized the events role in showcasing the latest technological advancement in intensive care.
He also expressed hopes for unifying intensive care unites across hospitals through digital database, to improve efficiency, reflecting Kuwait's progress in intensive care and international recognition. (end)
