Zarqa Feb 1 (Petra) -- Lower House Speaker Ahmad Safadi said Saturday Jordan's voice will remain heard in international decision-making centers, noting
his majesty King Abdullah's position to galvanize international support of Palestinian rights to counter the brutal aggression against the Gaza Strip.
He told lawmakers and local officials during a ceremony in Zarqa to mark His Majesty's 63rd birthday that Jordan will remain true and faithful to just Arab causes, foremost of which is the Palestinian cause, and stand with the Palestinian people's right to establish a free and independent state on the borders of June 4, 1967, with Jerusalem as its capital.
Jordan will not accept any solution (to the Palestinian issue) at the expense of Jordanians, and that Palestine is for the Palestinians, and Jordan for the Jordanians, he reiterated.
Safadi noted that His Majesty participated in aid airdrops to Gaza, as Her Majesty Queen Rania Al Abdullah made presentations with important content that helped change international opinion on the destruction and massacres against "our people in Palestine", he said.
He also pointed to participation by His Highness Crown Prince Al Hussein bin Abdullah and Her Highness Princess Salma bint Abdullah in relief airdrops by Royal Air Force falcons, along with Jordanian field hospitals.
