Qatar Renews Rejection Of Attempts To Displace Palestinians

Doha, Qatar: Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs HE sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al-Thani, participated in the Arab Sextet Meeting regarding the situation in Palestine, which was held today in Cairo at the invitation of the Arab Republic of Egypt, with the participation of the Foreign Ministers of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, the United Arab Emirates, the Secretary of the Executive Committee of the Palestine Liberation Organization representing the State of Palestine, alongside the Secretary-General of the Arab League.

During the meeting, a number of files were reviewed, particularly the issue of displacement, the consolidation of the ceasefire agreement in Gaza, the adequate and sustainable delivery of humanitarian aid to all parts of the Gaza Strip, and the necessity of supporting the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees (UNRWA) and enabling it to carry out its UN mandate.

During the meeting, His Excellency the Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs renewed the State of Qatar's firm rejection of attempts to displace the brotherly Palestinian people from the Gaza Strip noting that such calls would renew confrontations in the occupied Palestinian territories and double the suffering of the Palestinian people.
