50 Palestinian Patients To Leave Gaza Via Rafah Crossing Sat.

(MENAFN- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) GAZA, Jan 31 (KUNA) -- The health authorities in Gaza Strip said that 50 injured and sick people would travel tomorrow, Saturday, through Rafah border crossing to receive medical treatment abroad.
Contacts are underway with the concerned parties, including the World Health Organization, to arrange the medical trips and the buses that will carry the patients to Rafah, the health authorities said in a press release.
This is the first time Rafah crossing is reopened for Gazans since last May when the Israeli Occupation forces attacked and controlled Rafah city and Philadelphi Corridor - a 14 km.-long strip of land along the southwestern borders of Gaza Strip. (end)
