Rescue Teams Recover 18 Bodies Out Of Potomac River After Jet-Chopper Crash

WASHINGTON, Jan 30 (KUNA) -- Rescue teams have recovered the bodies of 18 victims of the plane that crashed into the Potomac River near Donald Reagan Airport in Washington, security officials said Wednesday.
CBS reported, citing security officials, that emergency and rescue teams recovered the bodies of at least 18 passengers of the American airlines plane that crashed after colliding with a military helicopter before landing at Reagan Airport earlier today. Rescuers were unable to pull any survivors from the water.
Response teams consisting of about 300 individuals are still conducting a massive search operation with the participation of fire departments and rescue teams in the frozen Potomac River, where the wreckage of the plane carrying 60 people was scattered, it added. (pick up previous)
