Jordan leads Energy Charter summit in Brussels


(MENAFN) The Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources led the "Energy Charter Conference" conducted in Brussels on Tuesday, with a center on developing energy security, sustainability, and modernization.

Addressing on behalf of Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources and Summit Leader Saleh Kharabsheh, Secretary-General of the Ministry, Amani Azzam, highlighted the significant role of the Energy Charter Treaty in guarding investments, facilitating energy trade, as well as supplying equitable dispute resolution mechanisms.

During her introductory speech, Azzam emphasized the significance of maintainable energy practices and global cooperation to meet energy security, labeling the Charter as a foundation for guiding energy as well as investment approaches in an ever-changing international background.

She outlined the serious demand for collective attempts to resolve international energy issues, calling on member states to leverage mutual resources and knowledge to guarantee energy security, support sustainability, and raise clean energy modernism.
