Azerbaijan's Shusha Rolls Out Red Carpet For Its Inaugural Labor Fair (PHOTO)

The State Employment Agency, operating under the Ministry of labor and Social Protection of Population of Azerbaijan, is actively engaged in initiatives to support the employment of residents who have been resettled to the territories liberated from occupation, in line with the“Great Return” program, Trend reports via Azerbaijan's Ministry of Labor and Social Protection of Population.

The ministry highlighted that the agency held a labor fair in Shusha for the first time in this regard, with the backing of the Special Representative Office of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan in the Shusha district.

The event saw a turnout of 26 employers from both the public and private sectors, showcasing over 250 job openings across a variety of fields.

Chairman of the Agency's Board, Sadig Aliyev, along with chief consultant of the Special Representation of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan in the Shusha district, Elshad Iskandarov, reviewed the vacancies showcased at the fair and engaged with employers. Members of the Public Council under the Ministry and representatives of NGOs also took part in the event.

The fair included registration of applicants for jobs and employment of suitable candidates to the relevant vacancies.

The participants were also provided with information about the self-employment program and vocational training courses organized in Karabakh Vocational Training Center. Registration of residents willing to participate in the self-employment program and vocational training courses was also conducted.
