Azerbaijan Central Bank Counts 1H 2024 Foreign Direct Investment Abroad (UPDATED)


(MENAFN- Trend News Agency) BAKU, Azerbaijan, September 12. The volume of Azerbaijan's foreign direct investments in the economies of other countries amounted to $998.2 million (60.94 percent growth) in the first half of 2024, Director of the Statistics Department of the Central bank of Azerbaijan (CBA) Samir Nasirov told Trend during a media briefing.

“The top 5 leading countries in terms of FDI from Azerbaijan include the UAE - $396.9 million, Türkiye - $108.1 million, Uzbekistan - $67.3 million, Georgia - $64.9 million, and the UK - $50.9 million,” he stressed.

To note, the volume of foreign direct investments in Azerbaijan amounted to $3.1 billion in 2023.

Foreign direct investments (FDI) in the economy of Azerbaijan amounted to $6.6 billion in 2023 (6.1 percent growth).
