Four Killed In Blast In Indian-Controlled Kashmir

(MENAFN- Nam News Network) NEW DELHI, Jul 30 (NNN-PTI) – Four people were killed yesterday, in a blast near the premises of a scrap dealer, in restive Indian-controlled Kashmir, Police said.

The blast went off at the Shair colony of Sopore town, in Baramulla district, about 47 km north-west of Srinagar city, the summer capital of Indian-controlled Kashmir.

Police said, the blast went off when the men were unloading scrap from a truck.

Police have registered a case and started an investigation, to ascertain where the scrap was loaded into the truck.

During the past over three decades of ongoing armed insurgency in the Indian-controlled Kashmir, many people were killed or left crippled, after fiddling with the explosives, or stepping upon land mines planted blindly in the region, particularly along the Line of Control (LoC).– NNN-PTI
