Sept 15 Deadline For Application To DFI's 'Made In Qatar' Entries


(MENAFN- Gulf Times) The Doha film Institute (DFI) continues to receive applications for participation in the“Made in Qatar” section, being held within the activities of the Ajyal Film Festival, until midnight on September 15.
The festival will return in its twelfth edition between November 16 and 23.
The festival, which will last for six days, seeks to bridge cultural gaps and bring together different generations through activities and events designed to enhance creative interaction between different sectors of the region's society.
The“Made in Qatar” programme receives applications for participation in feature or documentary films, regardless of their duration. To qualify the film's screenwriter, director, or producer must be Qatari or hold a valid residence permit in Qatar; or most of the film's scenes must be filmed in Qatar; or the film should revolves around the theme of Qatar.
The“Made in Qatar” competition committee consists of a group of professional filmmakers. The Ajyal Film Festival was designed to encourage and enhance cinematic educational programmes in the region, providing an entertainment experience for families and educators through group and individual communication through the medium of cinema, DFI announced on its website.
