Anura Assures Justice For Lasantha And Other Crimes

National People's Power (NPP) Leader Anura Kumara Dissanayake, speaking in Japan, assured justice over the murder of journalist Lasantha Wickrematunge and other crimes.

Speaking at a public meeting in Japan, Sunday, Dissanayake said that apart from fighting corruption, an NPP government will ensure investigations are conducted over various emblematic cases.

He also said that he has two files on current President Ranil Wickremesinghe.

Meanwhile, Dissanayake said that various claims had been made over his overseas visits.

The NPP leader said that on his return to Sri Lanka he will make public the expenses for his overseas visits.

Dissanayake insisted that Government funds had not been used for his overseas visits.

He also challenged President Ranil Wickremesinghe, Tourism Minister Harin Fernando and Foreign Employment Minister Manusha Nanayakkara to reveal the expenses of their recent overseas visits.

Dissanayake also said that he will not take revenge against anyone if he comes to power.

However, he said that the law will be strictly implemented and legal action will be taken on those corrupt. (Colombo Gazette)
