
CRA Qatar Warns Users Of Crowdstrike Software Technical Issues
Doha, Qatar: The Communication Regulatory Authority (CRA) in Qatar warned users of technical issues associated with the CrowdStrike Software update which may impact the electronic system of the institutions using it.
CRA advised all users to avoid any updates or downloads of the software until the issue has been resolved.
In a joint statement by the Ministry of Communication and Information Technology and the National Cyber Security Agency, it was revealed that key state sectors in Qatar had not been affected by the CrowdStrike Software failures, however, there were limited interruptions which had been resolved immediately.
The joint statement urged all entities in Qatar to take precautionary measures updating any systems linked to CrowdStrike.
Many places around the world have been plagued recently with mass IT outages that have caused flights to be cancelled and online services at hospitals, banks, businesses to go down.
