4 Killed, 7 Wounded In Kandahar, Uruzgan Accidents


(MENAFN- Pajhwok Afghan News) KANDAHAR CITY/ TIRINKOT (Pajhwok): At least four people, including a groom, were killed and seven others were wounded in three separate traffic accidents in southern Kandahar and central Uruzgan provinces on Tuesday.

Uruzgan Police spokesman Bilal Uruzgani said two motorcycles collided in Shah Mansoor area of Tirinkot, the provincial capital, this morning, leaving one person dead and two others injured.

He added the injured were evacuated to hospital by security forces.

Separately, a groom was killed and five others, including three women, wounded after two vehicles collided on the Kandahar-Helmand highway in Kandahar province, police said.

Kandahar police spokesman Mullah Asadullah Jamshid said two people were killed in a traffic accident in Maiwand district.

At least 17 people were killed and 34 others injured when a passenger bus overturned in Khanjan district of Baghlan province this morning.
