Air China Celebrates Launch Of Dhaka-Beijing Flights


(MENAFN- Bangladesh Monitor) Dhaka: Air China celebrated the successful launch of its Dhaka-Beijing direct flights through a grand ceremony held at a city hotel on July 15.

The ceremony marked the commencement of Air China's operations in Dhaka which paved the way for the first ever air connectivity between Bangladesh and China.

Muhammad Faruk Khan, Minister for Civil Aviation and Tourism, attended the ceremony as the chief guest and Yao Wen, Ambassador of China to Bangladesh, as the special guest.

Speaking on the occasion, An Ming, Country Manager-Bangladesh, Air China, said,“With our extensive network and commitment to service quality, we aim to provide travellers with an unparalleled experience. Our new Dhaka-Beijing route will offer seamless connectivity to numerous destinations in China and beyond.”

While addressing the event, HBM Lutfur Rahman, Chairman, Irving Group (GSA of Air China in Bangladesh), said, "It is a proud moment for us to see Air China commence operations in Bangladesh. We believe this new route will enhance business, tourism and cultural exchange, further solidifying the relationship between the two countries."

Air China is currently operating four weekly flights on Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday between Dhaka and Beijing.

The flights depart Dhaka at 10:10 pm and arrive in Beijing five hours later, providing travellers with a direct and efficient travel option between the two capitals.

The event featured cultural performances from both Chinese and Bangladeshi artistes which showcased the rich heritage and traditions of both nations.

Additionally, the Chinese Embassy in Dhaka promoted their ongoing "Ni Hao China" campaign at the event, which aims to enhance cultural understanding and tourism between China and Bangladesh.
