The review, announced by Starmer, underscores a commitment to responsibly increase spending to support the British armed forces, which he noted have faced significant reductions in recent years.
Starmer's decision follows his pledge at the NATO summit in Washington last week to raise defence spending to 2.5% of the UK's GDP.
