Turkmenistan Condemns Assassination Attempt On Donald Trump


(MENAFN- Trend News Agency) ASHGABAT, Turkmenistan, July 15. The Foreign Ministry of Turkmenistan has condemned the assassination attempt on ex-US President Donald Trump, Trend reports via the ministry.

"Turkmenistan expresses deep concern over the news of the attempt on the life of the 45th President of the United States, Donald Trump. We strongly condemn this act of violence and wish Donald trump a speedy recovery," the statement reads.

To note, Turkmenistan is noted as an active participant in international efforts to combat terrorism in all its forms and manifestations, including acts of political violence that generate societal tension.

Donald Trump sustained minor injuries to his right ear as a result of an assassination attempt during his speech to voters in Pennsylvania.

The perpetrator of the assassination attempt, 20-year-old Thomas Matthew Crooks, was shot dead by law enforcement.
