Qatar Attends Srebrenica Genocide Commemoration

(MENAFN- Gulf Times) Qatar participated yesterday in Sarajevo in an event commemorating the 1995 genocide in Srebrenica, eastern Bosnia, in the presence of the chairman of the presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Denis Becirovic. Qatar was represented by HE the Minister of State for International Co-operation at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Lolwah bint Rashid AlKhater. Qatar voted in the United Nations General Assembly in favour of the resolution to designate July 11 of each year as an international day of reflection and commemoration of the 1995 genocide. The commemoration was also attended by Qatar's ambassador to Bosnia and Herzegovina Meshal bin Ali al-Attiyah.
