Six Militants, Two Indian Soldiers Killed In Jammu, Kashmir Clashes


(MENAFN- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) NEW DELHI, July 7 (KUNA) -- Six militants and two security personnel were killed in ongoing encounters in Kulgam district of Jammu and Kashmir, Indian security authorities said on Sunday.
Two more bodies of militants were recovered Sunday, raising the total number of people killed in the twin gun battles into eight, the Press Trust of India said quoting officials.
"Bodies of two 'terrorists' were recovered from Modergam encounter site, four bodies of terrorists were recovered from Chinnigam site, while two soldiers had lost their lives in the encounter yesterday, the news agency added.
New Delhi accuses Islamabad of supporting and funding the armed groups in Kashmir, claims that Islamabad denies. (end)
