Technology Will Eventually Resolve Government Waste, Policy Making, And Eliminate The Need For Most Politicians.

(MENAFN- GetNews) David Goodnight, founder of The Goodnight Group, emphasizes the need to accept existing and advancing technologies to engineer the next generation of government performance.

Forget the federal government, that's a lost cause... for now. However, county, city, and state governments will slowly transition into a blended platform of blockchain and AI features that will empower citizens to decide where tax dollars are allocated, and which government services and infrastructure will take priority.

The Political turbulence throughout North America and much of the world has caused so much division that most people who had not cared an iota about anything government or political are now watching, discussing, and even ceasing to communicate with family and childhood friends.

More people are sidestepping legacy monopolies and taking a stance against industries that they deem unnecessary or unaligned with their principles; and it's only a matter of time before this thought process seeps into government. The 20-million-member embrace of the Robinhood trading app during the pandemic and its user-friendly ease to displace thousands of stockbrokers is a testament to change. The decision for 70,000 business owners and 1.6 million active customers to push the largest online retailer to the side to support an alternative online marketplace (PublicSquare) due to political positioning, is astonishing. The several municipalities, including the UK Parliament, allowing the introduction of AI representatives into their government bodies is equally terrifying as it will be helpful.

At some point, a small township will agree to adopt a new platform that will allow its tiny community to interact,“upvote”, review budgets, identify inefficiencies, and prioritize policies; the popularity will absolutely terrify the larger municipalities that have had their claws on this power for centuries. Recent politics may have created extreme division, but half of the global population does not trust their governing body. Sixty percent of US adults do not trust the government to do what is best for the country and seventy eight percent believe the government largely makes decisions based on political reasons, not the public interest.

An example of how this new platform may work could be theorized in the toxic algae crises that began in a US state in 2019 and has since reoccurred causing the deaths of dozens of dogs. During this same time, there was controversy over the installation of $4 per month unlimited charging stations for EV's in the wealthiest part of a major metropolis. Should the city be providing free charging for the wealthiest demographic? No. Would 50,000+ residents have upvoted for immediate action to the algae threat? Yes. To make it even worse, one EV owner was plugging his laptop into his EV and mining bitcoin on the taxpayer's dime.

Most people want to live their lives without thinking about government spending or policies, but there are tremendous inefficiencies in every pocket of government. People don't want to wait in line to vote on random policies or budgets, this is antiquated. This theoretical platform will take advantage of the always advancing ID verification technology supported by blockchain tracking and an opensource platform that empowers communities, not lawmakers. This will deliver a new sense of local ownership and responsibility. This empowerment will drive citizen“stakeholders” to prioritize issues that address their specific needs in real time and return a sense of transparency and trust in government.
