Israeli Forces Murder 8,672 Students Since Beginning Of Gaza Genocide

Ramallah: Palestinian Ministry of Education and Higher Education said that the Israeli Occupation forces (IOF) murdered at least 8,672 Palestinian students and injured at least 14,583 others, since the beginning of the Israeli ongoing genocide on the Gaza Strip and the West Bank.

The ministry said in a statement today that the death toll of students in the Gaza Strip since October 7, 2023 is at least 8,572, and the injuries have reach an approximate 14,089, while the IOF murdered a hundred students, injured 494 Palestinian students, and arrested 349 others in the West Bank.

The IOF murdered 497 teachers and managers, injured 3,402 others, and arrested more than 109 in the West Bank, the statement added.

The ministry also pointed out that 353 government schools, universities, university buildings, and 65 of the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees in the Near East (UNRWA) were bombed and vandalized in the Gaza Strip. As a result, 139 of them were severely damaged, 93 were completely destroyed, 57 schools in the West Bank were stormed and vandalized, and 133 government schools were used as shelter centers in the Gaza Strip.

The ministry confirmed that at least 620,000 students in the Gaza Strip are still deprived of enrolling in their schools since the beginning of the genocide, while most of the students suffer from psychological trauma and face difficult health conditions.
