Milipol Qatar 2024: the Global Event for Homeland Security and Safety Returns in October


(MENAFN- Morimak) Doha, Qatar – 28 June 2024 – Under the high patronage of His Highness Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani, Amir of the State of Qatar, Ministry of interior in Qatar will organize the 15th edition of Milipol Qatar, the Global Event for Homeland Security and Safety, in Doha under the theme “The technology at the service of security” from October 29-31, 2024, at the Doha Exhibition and Convention Centre (DECC).
Milipol Qatar, now reputed as the region’s leading event for homeland security and safety, will bring together global security policy-makers, academics, industry leaders, and government officials to examine solutions to security threats whether by land, sea, air or cyberspace.
The event is organized by the Ministry of Interior of the State of Qatar in partnership with Comexposium Security, representing the GIE Milipol under Civipol, the cooperation implementer of the French ministry of the Interior and Overseas. Milipol Qatar 2024 will help play a role in meeting Qatar’s expanding security requirements and is closely aligned to the security goals of the country’s National Vision 2030. The event will feature exhibitors from around the world, showcasing the latest innovations in security, safety, detection, and prevention equipment and systems.
In addition, the event will host an International conference and security seminars addressing critical security issues, including fire and rescue, addressing challenges in safeguarding high-rise structures, revolutionizing fire prevention, and road safety and security. Artificial Intelligence, Cybersecurity and cyberthreats will also come under scrutiny, with discussions focussing on the integration of physical and cyber security for critical infrastructure, technologies for smart and safe cities, and forensic science for investigations. On the final seminar day, attention will shift to the issue of securing ports, airports, and borders, with dialogues centred around transportation projects under the Qatar National Vision 2030, border protection travels programs, and challenges faced by coastguards.
The organisers are confident that the 15th edition of Milipol Qatar will surpass results from the 2022 event, which set new records for the biennial series with 222 exhibitors from 22 countries, attracting over 11,500 visitors from 84 countries, and featuring 389 official delegates. The event saw a declared onsite contract order book valued at QR 592 million. The 2022 seminar program, with a strong focus on cybersecurity and large event security management, was addressed by over 30 speakers and attended by more than 500 delegates.
