Dmytro Lykhoviy, spokesman for the General Staff of the Armed Forces, said this on Ukrainian television, Ukrinform reports.
"Over the past day, 158 combat engagements were recorded, the enemy continued offensive and assault operations. The fighting took place, in particular, in the Lyptsi and Vovchansk areas in the Kharkiv region," the General Staff spokesman said.
In the Kupiansk sector, the number of combat engagements reached 14 over the past day. The defense forces repelled enemy attacks in the areas of Berestove, Synkivka, Stelmakhivka, Kruhliakivka, Stepova Novoselivka and Pishchane in the Kharkiv region.

In the Lyman sector, Ukrainian forces repelled 16 enemy attacks near Terny in the Donetsk region, Hrekivka, Makiivka, Nevske, and Serebrianka forestry in the Luhansk region.
In the Siversk sector, the defense forces repelled 11 enemy attacks in the area of Razdolivka and Verkhniokamianske in the Donetsk region.
In the Kramatorsk sector, the Ukrainian defenders thwarted 34 enemy attempts to break through the defense lines in the areas of Novyi, Klishchiivka, Kalynivka, Pivnichne, Andriivka, Druzhba, Bohdanivka, Toretske and Ivanivka in the Donetsk region.
In the Pokrovsk sector, the defenders repelled 50 attacks in the areas of Novooleksandrivka, Sokil, Yevhenivka, Karlivka, Kalynove, Novopokrovske in the Donetsk region, where the enemy tried to dislodge Ukrainian units from their positions.
In the Kurakhove sector, the Defense Forces continue to hold back the enemy near Nevelske, Krasnohorivka and Paraskoviivka, where the enemy attempted to break through the defense lines 11 times.
In the Vremivka sector, the enemy made three unsuccessful assaults on Ukrainian positions near the villages of Staromaiorske, Kostiantynivka and Rivne.
In the Orikhiv sector, one combat engagement war recorded in the Mala Tokmachka area in the Zaporizhzhia region.
In the Dnipro River sector, the enemy seeks to knock out Ukrainian units from bridgeheads on the left bank of the Dnipro River. Over the past day, the enemy launched nine attacks on the Ukrainian positions there.
According to the General Staff spokesperson, over the past day, the enemy launched three missile strikes on the Ukrainian positions and populated areas using three missiles and 53 air strikes using 76 guided aerial bombs, and carried out 4,000 shelling attacks, in particular, using multiple launch rocket systems 89 times.
As reported by Ukrinform, on the night of June 20, Russians attacked Ukraine using air- and ground-launched missiles and Shahed-type strike drones. The Ukrainian air defense forces intercepted and destroyed 5 missiles and 27 strike drones.
